OCT 02, PEC, NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - SRA Nathon Watters of
the 136th AW Carswell NAS, TXANG, dominated the Armed Forces Skill
At Arms Meeting (AFSAM) competition recently by winning or placing
in 8 events. He was the high national guard shooter at this competition
and was the high scoring member of the winning international/interservice
team match.

Watters is a Distinguished Rifleman and Pistol Shot and
is a member of the Chief's Fifty with rifle. He has also
earned the Texas Governor's Twenty Tab in rifle, pistol and
LMG.
The
AFSAM competition is an annual combat marksmanship event which is
hosted by the National Guard at Camp Robinson in North Little Rock,
AR. Teams from various countries including Australia, Belgium, Canada,
Denmark, France, Italy, Netherlands and the United Kingdom plus
teams from the National Guard, USAR, Active Army and USMC participate
in marksmanship related skills. This competition not only tests
the individual's marksmanship prowess but his mental and physical
endurance as well.
